Buildings and Grounds
This morning I did see the first inkling of fall, brownish leaves from a maple in the back yard. The corn beginning to brown from the earth up, and don't the huge cotton ball clouds look a bit different. Many think that fall is the time to start hunkering down; WINTER is just around the corner. True, but as the weather cools, it is the perfect time to: Clean out and possibly replant the side garden by the kitchen entrance and put up our new sign.
The library will be working at length, to repair the walkway between the back of the Parish Hall and their walkway. There is on going discussion about the widening of the arch door leading into the sacristy to allow easier access for wheelchair and walkers. As cold weather approaches, the thermostats will be switch over to heating and again; set with a fixed code. A word of THANKS to Lee for the truly fantastic floor refurbishing job that he did in the Parish Hall. The floor GLEAMS!
If there are concerns about relevant issues, please give me a call or catch me at coffee hour. Also use the Red Tags. Thank you for helping to keep our church home so beautiful.
Peace in Christ, Barbara
